IEMBA participants have a
variety of backgrounds and experience. All of them have 5 or more years
of management experience, and they share a desire to learn and improve
themselves and their companies. Participants may have an engineering
or science background, for example, but have recently taken on management
responsibilities in their firms. Other participants could have a background
in economics, but feel that they need to renew their skills and bring
their knowledge up to date. Multinational companies, local enterprises
and entrepreneurial firms are all represented in the class. Most importantly,
the program draws participants from the entire region, be it South America
or Europe, so that discussions and projects are infused with an international
flavor.
