IEMBA 1
The first International MBA for Executives class in Brazil began its studies on March 11, 2000. The class consists of 29 participants from Brazil, Colombia/U.S.A., Tobago/Trinidad. Below are pictures and profiles of this dynamic group.

	Charles Avaunzaff Is working in Colombia for ABN Amro as an Assistant Vice President. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the coordination of corporate banking sales force. Charles attended EAFIT University in Colombia where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business and a master’s degree in Marketing. Charles is a dual citizen Colombian/USA.
	Christian Boucaud Is working as Brazil’s Country Manager for S.M. Jaleel & Co. (Beverage industry). Products include Chubby and Fruta Juices. The company has a strategic alliance with Cott Beverages Canada for North American markets. Christian received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of the West Indies. He is currently living in Belem, but is a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago.
	Francisco Casulli Works for Foxboro Brasileira Instrumentacao Ltda (an Invensys Group Company) as the Engineering Manager. He is primarily focused in the industrial automation business. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Maua, Sao Paulo. Francisco is a Brazilian citizen.
	Eduardo Chedid Simoes Is a Senior Products Manager for Visa. He has 7 years experience in the credit card industry. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from EAESP – Fund. Getulio Vargas. Eduardo is a Brazilian citizen living in Sao Paulo.
	Sidnei dos Santos Cosme Serves as Business Development Manager for Construcoes eComercio Camargo Correa S.A. He has been with the company since 1992, where he started as an Engineer and then Commercial Analyst. He received a Civil Engineering degree from Escola de Engenharia Maua – IMT as well as attended an Industrial Administration Specialization program at USP. Sidnei is a Brazilian citizen.
	Carlos Borges Costa Is employed by Nestle as Executive Manager of Supply Chain Development Unit. He has worked for Nestle since 1977. Previous jobs at Nestle have included Logistics Manager, Head of Distribution Operations Department and Distribution Center Manager. Carlos received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sao Luis Economics School, Sao Paulo. Carlos is a Brazilian citizen.
	Leandro Cruz De Paula Works for StarMedia do Brasil Ltda as Brazil’s Regional Director. Previous positions with StarMedia include Regional Director, Client Services Director and Sales Manager. He has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie. Leandro is a Brazilian citizen.
	Rene Delsin Is the Senior Product Manager for Roche. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1994. He received his undergraduate degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista in Biochemistry/Pharmacy. Rene is a Brazilian citizen.
	Marcos Elias Works for Banco Brascan as a Senior Investment Banking Analyst. Prior to joining Banco Brascan he worked in the consulting industry with Monitor Company, Texaco Global Gas & Power and Ernst & Young. He received a Mechanical/Automation Engineering degree from the University of Sao Paulo. Marcos is a Brazilian citizen.
	Gilberto De Farias Is a Partner at Applied Competitive Strategies Do Brasil. He has a finance background, he worked at KPMG in the auditing department, he has served as Financial Controller for Proudfoot Group as well as Financial Director (Latin America) with Packard Bell. Gilberto is a Brazilian citizen.
	Renato Ferreira Works for Zurich Brasil Seguros SA (insurance industry) as a Tourism Business Manager. Other positions he held with Zurich include Market Development Manager and Senior Marketing Consultant. Renato is a Brazilian citizen.
	Isabel Gamboa-Gangl Is the Vice President for Mineracao Lavras dos Verdes (mining company), she has a Law degree from Minas Gerais Federal University and is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association. Isabel is a Brazilian citizen and lives in Minas Gerais.
	Durval Garcia, Junior Works as a Procurement Manager for Brazil and Latin America for Nalco Chemical Company (water treatment). He has worked for Nalco for the past 10 years. He has also served Nalco as Quality Assurance Manager and Technical Director for Latin America. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UNICAMP. Durval is a Brazilian citizen.
	Paulo Geraldo Is a Purchasing and Logistics Manager for PPG Industrial do Brasil. Prior to joining PPG, he worked as a Logistics Manager for SKF. Paulo has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from FAAP and a master’s degree in Business Administration from FGV. Paulo is a Brazilian citizen.
	Edison Takio Kassae Is employed by DuPont Brazil as a Marketing Manager. He has worked in sales/marketing for many multinational firms including IBM, Kodak, Bridgestone/Firestone and American Express. He has an Aeronautical Engineering degree from ITA. Edison is a Brazilian citizen.
	Milton Edson Lubraico Currently working as Powertrain Systems Manufacturing & Products Development Chief Engineer for Ford Motor Co. Brasil (Taubate Powertrain Operations). He has lived in Detroit Michigan for three years while working with Ford. He has degrees in both Automotive Mechanical and Production Engineering. Milton is a Brazilian citizen.
	Cristina Mautoni Machado Since 1995 has been employed by General Motors do Brasil as the Department of Engineering Technical Liaison Manager (Trucks and Commercial units). She holds a bachelor of Mechanical Production Engineering degree from FEI. Cristina is a Brazilian citizen.
	Persio Medeiros Works for Sao Paulo Alpargatas as an Industrial Manager. Prior to joining Alpargatas, he worked for Alcoa. He has a Metallurgical Engineering degree from USP. Persio is a Brazilian citizen, living in Recife.
	Newton Mello Is employed by the Secretariat of Finance as the Regional Inspector’s Assistant. Prior to that position he was a Project Coordinator at Rhodia. He has an Electrical Engineering degree from Polytechnical School as well as a Business Administration degree from Sao Paulo University. Newton is a Brazilian citizen.
	Claudio Mitsutani Is the Strategic Purchasing Manager for Wyeth Whitehall Laboratories. He holds an Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering degree from ITA. Claudio is a Brazilian citizen.
	Katia Miyazawa Works for the Secretariat of Finance as Assistant of the Executive Director of the Compliance Department – Intelligence Division. She has a Physical Education degree from USP. Katia is a Brazilian citizen.
	Luciano de Menezes Is the Commercial and Membership Manager at Amcham. He is responsible for Amcham branches in Recife, Porto Alegre and Belo Horizonte. He has a Business Administration degree from PUC. Luciano is a Brazilian citizen.
	Rodrigo Pinto Has worked for IBM since 1986. His current position is Manufacturing Production Line Manager. He has an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering and a post graduate in Business Administration from FGV. Rodrigo is a Brazilian citizen.
	Flavio Reis Is the Demand and Inventory Manager with Caterpillar Brasil Ltda. He has worked for Caterpillar since 1990. Previous jobs with Caterpillar have included Systems Analyst, Logistics Consultant and Master Production Scheduling Supervisor. He has a Technology degree from UNESP. Flavio is a Brazilian citizen.
	Flavia Schlesinger Is the Finance Controlling Manager for Monsanto do Brazil. Previously she worked for Monsanto as the Financial Planning Supervisor. She has also worked for Johnson & Johnson and Coopers & Lybrand. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from PUC. Flavia is a Brazilian citizen.
	Marco Toledo Works for the Amcham as the Information Systems Manager. Prior to joining the Chamber he was self-employed with many IT related businesses. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from UMC, Sao Paulo. Marco is a Brazilian citizen.
	Paulo Cesar Turini Is the Managing Partner with SCAP Consulting. The company specializes in maritime shipping-consultancy and cargo vessel brokerage. Prior to SCAP he worked for Di Gregorio Navegacao as Fleet/Operations Manager. He has an Engineering degree from USP. Paulo is a Brazilian citizen.
	Jorge Vasconcellos Has worked at Caterpillar Brasil since 1986. His current position is Information Systems Supervisor. Prior to joining Caterpillar he worked at Villares and Bradesco. He has a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from University Mackenzie and Post Graduation in Business Administration from FGV. Jorge is a Brazilian citizen.
	Luiz Eduardo Verzegnassi Is the South American Parts Supply and Logistics Manager at Ford Motor Company. He has worked at Ford since 1991, where he started as a student trainee. Prior to joining Ford he worked at Unilever. He also served as an English teacher at CCAA Language School. He has a Technology degree from University Mackenzie. Luiz is a Brazilian citizen.
