Qualification
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in accessibility testing.
Experience with assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, switch access,
magnification), and with accessibility checking tools (e.g., Accessibility
Scanner, Lighthouse).
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion best practices, and
experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards.
Knowledge of computer programming languages or scripting skills.
Well versed with accessibility industry regulations, standards, and guidelines,
such as WCAG, EN 301 549, ARIA, Section 508, and Accessibility Conformance
Reports.
Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently.
Description
As a Accessibility Analyst, youll work with a wide variety of product teams from
all over the company. You will ensure that Googles products and services are
tested for compliance with applicable accessibility standards and legislation, and
help create highly efficient, delightful, and productive experiences for everyone,
including users with disabilities.
You'll be supporting Google's accessibility efforts, working with local
stakeholders in Brazil receiving user feedback and in other regions worldwide.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Googles flagship products.
We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer
platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the
essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our
users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across
Googles products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and
strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique
opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
Conduct accessibility evaluations of Google products and services, including
identifying and resolving accessibility issues, writing documentation, and
training team members on accessibility.
Develop best practices for accessibility (e.g., create standards, update technical
reference collateral, participate in process improvement efforts, etc.).
Ensure compliance with accessibility policies, standards, and laws by monitoring
accessibility tools, submitting and tracking issues, and developing assessment
procedures.
Gather and report quality and productivity metrics.
Be an advocate for users with disabilities.
