Boeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Electrical Cabin Systems Engineer reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil office. The Associate Electrical Cabin Systems Engineer will to join the team in defining and integrating airplane electrical systems across our commercial fleet. This position will be assigned to work with Cabin and Network Systems Team which includes interior lighting, passenger address systems, seat back video, passenger connectivity, In Flight Entertainment, and more. All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport. Position Responsibilities: Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications: Must have existing rights to work in Brazil. Bachelors Degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering. Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia  CREA). Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language. Knowledge in a professional environment. Preferred Qualifications: Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree. Knowledge within Electrical Systems hardware and software design. Knowledge in Electrical design; including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design. Familiar with equipment design, specification and tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g. RTCA DO-160). Familiarity with engineering processes and methods. Some experience with project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment. Some experience with Model Based Development tools. Ability to work with internal and external customers and suppliers distributed across domestic and international locations. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
