Project Description: The project involves supporting our client, a former part of
a multinational conglomerate company that operates in the pharmaceutical, medical
devices, and consumer health sector, in rebuilding and establishing its services
as an independent company within the healthcare and personal care product domain.
The tasks primarily revolve around reconstructing services that were previously
maintained by the conglomerate, as well as developing new services from scratch.
Specifically, the focus is on areas such as financial reporting and customer data
management on a global scale. The selected candidate will initially work as a lone
contributor, responsible for either enhancing existing systems or proposing and
implementing new solutions.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a comprehensive background in
cloud computing, particularly Azure, with at least a decade of experience,
complemented by proficiency in critical data technologies such as Databricks and
Azure Data Factory. They should demonstrate expertise in data architecture, with a
proven ability to design and implement scalable solutions, alongside strong
communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts for diverse
stakeholders. Additionally, a solid understanding of customer 360 data concepts
and experience in leading teams or projects across multiple regions would be
advantageous.
Qualifications:
1. Cloud Computing:
10+ years of experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory
Familiarity with AWS or GCP is acceptable, with a minimum of 2 years of
experience.
2.Data Technologies:
Expertise in Databricks for data processing and analytics
Familiarity with Snowflake preferred, but any other database experience such as
Redshift, BigQuery, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, or Vertica is acceptable
3. Data Architecture and Modeling:
10+ years of experience in data architecture and modeling
Ability to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions for Customer
360 in B2B environments, ranging from small supermarket networks to large-scale
enterprises like Walmart
4. Communication Skills:
Fluent English communication skills, C2 level.
Capability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely, especially in
English, with emphasis on simplicity and clarity
5. Business Acumen:
Understanding of customer and sales data domains, with a focus on Customer 360 for
B2B clients
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice
versa.
6. Leadership and Team Management:
Experience leading teams or projects, although the initial role may involve
working independently.
Capability to manage tasks across multiple regions, such as LATAM and North
America
Ability to oversee the maintenance and continued development of Customer 360 for
B2B clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for
various client sizes
Responsibilities:
1. Designing Data Ecosystems: Develop and implement robust data architectures
and ecosystems to meet current and future analytical challenges for clients.
2. Leading Data Engineering Practices : Lead and manage data engineering teams
to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives, with a focus on
driving excellence in data management and analytics.
3. ETL Architecture and Implementation: Oversee the design and implementation of
ETL processes using technologies such as Oracle, Spark, Airflow, and others,
ensuring efficient data transformations and workload management.
4. Customer Data Management: Drive initiatives related to Customer 360 data
concepts, including data exploration, modeling, and the setup and maintenance of
Customer Golden Records and Datamarts.
5. Solution Architecture: Provide expertise in BI/DWH projects, offering
solutions for large-scale data warehousing and business intelligence needs, with a
focus on scalability and performance.
6. Consulting and Advisory: Offer consulting services on Big Data architecture,
advising on methodologies, best practices, and technology selection to optimize
data management and analytics capabilities.
7. Team Leadership and Development : Lead and mentor data engineering teams,
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement,
while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
8. Pre-Sale Support: Contribute to pre-sale activities by providing
architectural expertise and support in solution design, ensuring alignment with
client requirements and business objectives.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including sales, marketing, and product development, to align data initiatives
with overall business strategies and objectives.
