Boeing Brazil Engineering is seeking a high performing Electrical, Electronics Systems Engineering Manager to join this talented and fast paced team, reporting to the Senior Manager for Mods and Conversions at the Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil location. The manager will build, lead and inspire a group of employees performing engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks that provide engineering solutions for the Boeing Global Services commercial modifications business units and global design centers The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports. In addition to managing current work statement, this position will grow the capability and capacity of the team by building a talent pipeline, knowledge management, and networking with international partners. Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable providing technical and project management of both Boeing employees and suppliers, as well as leading process improvement activities and utilizing cutting-edge methods for managing team workload and resources. The ability to develop and maintain positive and healthy relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports is a key attribute to being successful in this role. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BGS Airplane Systems engineering such as Electrical Design, Avionics and Cabin Systems. Supports a variety of Boeing products, including the 737, 747, 767, 777, and 787 products. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Coordinates engagement with BGS engineering counterparts located at USA, Long Beach site, and international partners. Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing. Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes. Leads and fosters process improvements, and inspire the team forward on their Lean Journey. Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Knowledge and experience of Electrical and/or Electronic Systems engineering Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering related field Fluent in both written and verbal English Must be legally able to work in Brazil Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA) Some experience leading or managing engineering teams Experience working on either electrical or electronic airplane components or systems Willing to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): Prior experience in the development, integration, and verification of electrical or electronic systems Prior experience in management or leadership role Masters Degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA) Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management methods Experience working within a regulated industry Knowledge of FAA Regulations Experience supporting aircraft production, development, and/or sustainment program(s) Experience with Commercial Engineering, Mods and Maintenance (EMM) products Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
