Job Description The JUNIOR contract manager  Santos (SP) is entrusted with several critical responsibilities: Contract management procedures: The professional ensures effective elaboration and timely delivery of contract procedures, workflow and procedures, covering areas like daily basis contract management, claims, risk mitigation, change orders. Expertise to deliver project deliverables: The candidate is expected to possess the expertise necessary for delivering project outcomes. In a dynamic environment encompassing multiple projects, the candidate will be responsible for formulating Request For Proposals (RFP), conducting technical evaluations of construction proposals, and forecasting financial expenditures, among others. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Collaboration and Client Interaction: The candidate can work as part of a larger team or take on the role of the key day-to-day contact point with the client. Effective communication and collaboration are essential. Setting Success Criteria: The professional plays a pivotal role in defining the overall success criteria for the project. This includes aspects such as time, cost, technical parameters, performance targets, project governance, contract management processes, and system implementation. Infrastructure Expertise: Candidates for this role should have experience in the infrastructure sector, particularly in areas like rail, roads, and earthworks. Responsibilities: Development of a contractual management system, with process flows, procedures, work instructions, models and templates; Analysis of the contracting strategy, identifying pros and cons of the proposed packages; Preparation and review of tender documents, identifying possible exposures or risk areas; Conducting bidding processes, managing communications and coordinating interested parties within the client's organization; Technical and commercial evaluations of offers, providing rigorous and well-founded analysis of pre-established criteria; Risk analysis and SWOT of potential winners; Conduct the kickoff meeting and periodic follow-up meetings, emphasizing assigning and closing open actions; Review and consolidation of the information required from the contractor for the start of the contract; Monitoring of the contractor's technical compliance in coordination with relevant areas (engineering, construction, QA/QC); Monitoring of the contractor's administrative compliance, including reportability, in coordination with relevant areas (project control, H&S), promptly notifying non-compliance; Analysis of progress deviations and respective recovery plans; Processing change requests and resolving according to contractual terms; Update of risk register during contract execution; Identification and raising of internal alerts in the event of possible claims, seeking their resolution within the contract; Ensure the integration of areas for effective action in preventing claims, from the initial phases until the completion of the works; Develop and deliver training to everyone directly (claim and contract management) involved in contract management; Permanent, fluid and respectful communication with counterpart (contractor company administrator); Administration of technical and financial closing processes; Development of post-execution contractor evaluation; Survey of lessons learned. Qualifications Bachelors Degree: Holds a degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field. Experience: Brings relevant and solid experience on a junior level. Software Proficiency: Demonstrates advanced skills in using the MS Office Package (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Power BI. Location: Selected candidates must work on client´s office. The successful candidate would also hold these main abilities: Awareness of business priorities while paying attention to details; Oral and written excellent abilities; Autonomy, self-management and self-motivation; Decision-making capacity; Teamwork driven.
