Job Description Summary
Areas that support the identification and development of the product offerings for
the business . Jobs at this level operate with some autonomy but are covered by
well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results. The job allows
modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results
meet standards of acceptability (typically annual volume, margin and compliance
requirements). Responsible for medium-sized sales territories.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Regional Resource management , planning and allocation of resources to tenders as
per schedule & Support to COE for resources on request;
Resolving people issue ,Support in Coordination of all processes, tools, KPIs, to
ensure the transversal coherence in the COE;
Management of Request for deviations with sourcing, working with senior management
people for closing the Cost gaps;
Participation in Cost optimization and other Approval Gates of ITO process, COE
Costing database management;
Support in Management new tools development / updates (depending on the tool);
Lead the analysis for the slippages due to ITO and Implementation of feedback in
Regional projects;
Work closely with the Costing Center of Excellence, Tender Engineers, Procurement
Coordinator and Planning Managers to lead consultations and develop procurement
strategies using specifications, internal specifications, diagrams and drawings;
Contribute to the definition of the industrial plan Select procurement schemes and
suppliers in collaboration with the procurement coordinator;
Choose the appropriate estimation methods based on the tools, references, time
available and budget allocated for a given offer;
Estimate the costs (material and time) of the various components of the turbine,
alternator and auxiliaries, as well as on-site services and commercial offers, in
order to construct the most accurate total cost possible;
Being responsible for updating costs, will be the guarantor of our updated costs,
cost validity and cost competitiveness. Support the Bid Manager(s) in the
preparation of prices and in the preparation of internal documents (S3, ALL in
ONE, TCS, Bid schedule, etc.) in order to comply with the procedures for preparing
tender calls offers;
Actively participate in the proposal management meeting to ensure that the
application of GE rules and the offer strategy take into account the specificities
of the offer;
Contribute to the maintenance of cost analysis tools and methods, evaluate
competitiveness and validate our methods according to industry best practices,
improve the quality of the estimate and contribute to the continuous improvement
of the product;
Support contract execution teams to estimate additions to current contracts.
Transfer budgets to project execution teams.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
Experience in estimating turbine/alternator components, and/or estimating site
installations, and/or repairing mechanical/electrical equipment. (piping,
instrumentation, electrical and structural work);
Overall work experience should be must include Costing, Sourcing, Engineering
and/or Site background;
Must have Hydro experience;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), MS Office,
Microsoft Project and PowerMax (or SAP equivalent);
Strong oral and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English;
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems;
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs;
Established project management skills.
