Environmental health and safety (EHS) manager is responsible for overseeing all
aspects of environmental, health, and safety policies, managing work with a team
of professionals to ensure that these policies are implemented correctly and
consistently across the organization. This position is responsible for responsible
for managing EHS in Canoas sites and deploying corporate EHS culture at the plant,
ensuring compliance with legal environment, health and safety requirements,
promoting the continuous improvement of safety performance and
implementing/maintaining EHS certifications. This function is also the technical
EHS responsible at the plant.
Your Impact
" Develop new policies or procedures related to EHS issues;
Reinforce and deploy the environment and safety culture; Act proactively in order
to anticipate risks and promote continuous improvement of EHS performance;Track
and report Sustainability and safety KPIs;
Implement / maintain ISO14001 / ISO45001 systems certifications;
Monitor implementation of actions to reduce the operational risks required by
insurance companies;
Represent Company before government public entities related to EHS;
Technical responsibility for EHS at the Plant where it is located.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture; Postgraduate degree in occupational
safety engineering; Registration before Ministry of Labor and Regional Engineering
Council
Desirable:
knowledge in Environmental areas (bachelor's or postgraduation degree in
environmental matters).
