Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Downstream Process Engineer with specialized knowledge in
Utilities operations, encompassing a wide array of processes such as GTGs, STGs,
water treatment, power generation, and more.
As part of our Operation Engineering Solutions Department within Global
Manufacturing Excellence, you'll be integral to ensuring the optimal performance
and reliability of utility facilities across our global operations. Your
responsibilities will include providing technical expertise, conducting thorough
performance evaluations, implementing improvement initiatives, and driving overall
operational excellence to support our commitment to safety, efficiency, and
sustainability.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized and
approved program.
+17 years of experience the Oil & Gas Industry, refining & petrochemical sector
with at least 10 years experience in handling utilities (process engineering and
operations).
Exposure to major equipment suppliers / package units for Utilities is preferred.
Experience using process engineering simulation programs.
Demonstrate very good command of spoken and written English.
Very good computer & presentation skills.
Strong management and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
Review and monitor the performances of existing Utilities through key performance
indicators (KPIs) representing the optimum operability, profitability,
reliability, and process safety. Issue quarterly Utilities performance
benchmarking reports highlighting the KPIs, analysis, and performance improvement
recommendations.
Monitor and support the facilities in implementing the recommendations and closing
the gaps identified in the quarterly performance benchmarking reports.
Conduct benchmarking and best practices exchange workshops internally among Global
Manufacturing facilities (wholly-owned and affiliates).
Provide on-demand remote and/or field technical advisory support to Global
Manufacturing facilities on matters concerning the operation of Utilities which
may include but not limited to process design, process troubleshooting, start-up
and shutdown activities and capacity test runs. Issue service report for every
support activity provided highlighting the facilities need, actions taken,
results, and lessons learned.
Propose cost optimization or process improvement initiatives focusing on
low-hanging fruits with no or minimal capital investment required, through
operational adjustment or design modification in collaboration with Global
Manufacturing facilities engineers.
Conduct internal assessments on Utilities using Saudi Aramco engineering standard
references. Highlight any deviations or better standards applied by affiliates for
endorsement to facility management or Saudi Aramco Central Engineering.
Act as the overall coordinator for cascading and driving Global Manufacturing and
Corporate programs for the Utilities in the operating facilities enabling their
execution and effective monitoring.
Participate in Business Plan development and coordinate with stakeholders for any
capital investments on assigned Utilities and support techno-economic evaluations.
Be aware of Utilities technology developments in the industry and endorse the
evaluation and approval to Central Engineering to facilitate field deployment.
Support arrangement and facilitation of technical knowledge exchange workshops
with major equipment suppliers for Utilities and Global Manufacturing facilities.
Provide in-house technical trainings to Global Manufacturing facilities when
needed.
Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies
as required by Utility operating facilities.
Participate in incident investigation activities concerning Utilities as required
by operating facilities.
Job Benefits
Monthly Base Salary aligned with company employees with similar skills
Monthly Overbase 25% of your monthly base salary
Benefits Supplement 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service,
reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35%
of base
Severance Package (2-year vest period) year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+:
4 week's pay for each year after

Stages of our Hiring Process

2. Interviews Stage:
2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview:
A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a
call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and
qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage,
ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.
If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be
submitted to our client.
If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent
Acquisition consultant will inform you.
2.2 Client Face to Face interview:
This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we
cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it
should take less than a week.
If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back
to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told
to go to the location.
The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your
familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral
evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce
solutions.
If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further
evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer.
If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you.
2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may
also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with
problem-solving in your given field.
3. Conditional Offer:
A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and
permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
4. Relocation Process:
After your offer is accepted and all conditions for employment are met, you will
be assigned a relocation advisor from LHR Americas. This advisor will be your
go-to resource for your job transition, providing valuable advice on visa
logistics, notice periods, medical requirements, and more.
