Boeing Brazil is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, reporting
to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the São Jose
dos Campos - SP office.
The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will join the Integrated Modular
Avionics (IMA) team. All projects focus on design, development, and production
support of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform Software Tools.
Responsibilities include translation of concepts and high-level requirements to
software specifications, you will be responsible for auditing software development
process to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and certification
requirements for critical and embedded software.
Position Responsibilities:
Audit the software development process according to the Software Certification
Plan to ensure adherence to certification standards mandated by regulatory
authorities such as FAA and EASA.
Utilize regulatory guidelines including DO-178B, DO-178C, DO-330, during audits to
verify compliance with certification standards.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and integrate aircraft
systems in alignment with ARP-4754, DO-178, and DO-330 standards
Develop and execute test plans for system verification and validation,
meticulously analyzing test results.
Generate comprehensive certification documentation for review by regulatory
authorities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will
be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is
at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
Must have a degree in Engineering.
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English
Language.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy
Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
In depth experience in defining and implementing engineering processes and
methods.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Bachelors degree in electrical or computer, automation, aeronautical Engineering
In depth experience with Electronic Systems hardware design
Experience in certifying software for aviation
Experience leading cross functional teams
Some experience with Model Based Development tools
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have
current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are
determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
