Simulation and logistics analyst
As part of our expansion, we are excited to invite applications for the role of
Junior Simulation Engineer within our T&L Business line. This opportunity is open
to candidates in Chile, Brazil, Peru, and Argentina and offers the flexibility of
a 100% remote working arrangement.
As a Junior Simulation Engineer you will assist senior team members to undertake simulation studies and software development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Analyze detailed historical operating and environmental data to identify trends,
map system behaviour, and extract key performance indicators necessary to
calibrate simulation models.
Analyze detailed model output data, generate insightful graphs, and quantify
results that directly inform your clients large capital decisions.
Generate high-quality graphics to ensure model realism, test new features, and
engage both present and future clients.
Collaborate with programmers to design new features and solve difficult modeling
challenges.
Assist project managers to prepare proposals, estimate budget and schedule
requirements, develop requests for information, review our work for technical
accuracy, present results, and write reports.
Work independently and take initiative when required.
Meet with clients throughout the project/study lifecycle to develop your
professional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
About you
As a strong applicant, you should have:
· Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with a strong
quantitative focus. Graduate training at the Masters or PhD level is ideal.
· Love to solve problems and provide practical solutions to clients that make
business sense.
· Grasp technical concepts quickly, can navigate complex logical arguments, and
apply knowledge in a hands-on way.
· Are motivated to contribute as a member of a talented, high-performance project
team.
· Manage time and prioritize tasks thoughtfully.
· Explain complex ideas clearly.
· Have deep experience with MS Excel analysis.
· Have some experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools
such as Tableau or Power BI.
· Have some experience programming with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, VBA,
Matlab).
· Ideally have experience with software development in Java (preferred but not
required).
· Proficient level in English and Spanish. Portuguese would be a huge asset.
