As a Tech Lead for eCommerce Development, reporting directly to the Digital
Technology Manager and Dotted line to the eCommerce Manager, you will be
responsible for the team of ecommerce developers and in charge maintenance and the
improvement of BRP eCommerce application, front and back office, As well as
guiding and leading the development team.
You will:
Be responsible for Ecommerce technical project delivery and managing development
teams(in-house and partners)
Develop and maintenance of a customer facing digital ecommerce platform
Develop and maintain any interface with other systems related to eCommerce
(payment gateway, Fulfillment platform, SAP&)
Collaborate with Project managers, Product owners, IT, BA and UX team to
constantly improve traffic acquisition, conversion, and retention.
Write unit and functional tests within automated test environments to ensure code
quality
Build functional prototypes of applications to demonstrate the value to the
stakeholders
Convert the user stories into development tasks and provide accurate estimates
Participate in all areas of the project life cycle, including Discovery,
estimation, Sprint Planning, delivery and post release support.
Set goals and targets with deadlines, and hold individuals and teams accountable
for results
YOULL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of working experience with Ecommerce Platforms required
Experience with Magento, Magento Cloud CLI considered an asset
Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Cloud and eCommerce stack.
Strong PHP and or Java experience
Excellent knowledge of front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Vue.
Experience with creating, consuming and designing APIs (Rest, GraphQL).
Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proven track record of prioritization of own work.
Good problem solving skills.
Attention to detail.
