Description and Requirements The Intelligent Devices Group (IDG) is a global operation comprised of the PCs and Smart Devices (PCSD) business unit and the Mobile Business Group (MBG). We have more than 30 years of experience in PCs and nearly 40 years of experience with mobile phones. Our portfolio of products, solutions, software, and services ranges from PCs and smartphones to smart collaboration and augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) solutions. Position Summary -Advisory Solution Architect- As an Advisory Solution Architect in our Solutions & Services Group, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive, creative and cost-effective services solutions for our clients. Working within our regional solutions practice your primary focus will be on highly complex and customized solutions across Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS), Hybrid Cloud, Sustainability, and Vertical/Industry based solutions. You will be required to solution Device-as-a-Service incorporating plan, configure, deploy, support, manage and retire stages. To be successful in the role, you must effectively partner across multiple organizations, including but not limited to, sales; finance; service delivery; clients and business partners, putting forward compelling value propositions and an effective and robust Statement of Work (SOW). Roles and responsibilities Solution Development Collaborate with internal account teams and clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and objectives. Design comprehensive and scalable IT service solutions that align with the client's strategic goals and industry best practices. Provide expertise and recommendations on IT service delivery models, vendor selection, and service optimization strategies. Develop and present a compelling value proposition to the client. Upon award, develop an effective and robust Statement of Work (SOW) for the client, accurately detailing the work to be performed, articulating client dependencies, and minimizing risk. Upon award, develop an effective and robust Vendor Statement of Work (VSOW) for any partner engagement, accurately detailing the work to be performed, ensuring back-to-back coverage, and minimizing risk. Reporting & Governance Ensure adherence with corporate Delegation of Authority (DoA) across the solution cycle and actively engage in all gate reviews throughout the deal flow, including Deal Qualification Review, Technical Certification, Deal Review, Contract Review, Win/Loss Reviews and Solution Handover. Adhere with record to report standards, ensuring all solution milestones are tracked in D365. Continuous Improvement Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, proposal trends and evolving client demands. Seek feedback from sales teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to improve solution quality, effectiveness and win rates. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate the solution development process. Contribute to the development and enhancement of solution templates, tools & resources. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in business, technology or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus. 5+ years experience in solution architecture, SOW development, business development, and managed or professional services in the IT services and solutions industry. Direct experience in the Managed Services Industry focused on PC & Infrastructure is preferred. Strong negotiation experience across both a client and partner context. Excellent communication, both oral and written and polished presentation skills. Strong prioritization skills, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Ability to work as part of a global team which may require engaging across distances, cultures, and time zones in a matrix organizational structure. Advanced level English skills
