" Be responsible for the GFS Risk team in Brazil, who has risk oversight over the
broker dealer operations at B3. Conversant with B3 risk framework for both
pre-trade limits (LINE Trading/ Clearing) and post-trade (CORE methodology, RTC,
open position limits). Please note this position will require accreditation (PQO)
both in risk and operations.
" Be the focal point of UBS BB and B3 for any risk issues. The candidate will be
in close contact with B3 both for day-to-day issues as well as for senior
discussions on a variety of risk topics ( risk management, new projects, changes
in regulation, etc.). The candidate will also be the risk focal point at BSM (B3
self-regulating body).
" Oversee adherence to risk framework of different clients. Adress limits breaches
and resolve issues. Monitor Brazil offshore clients risk/liquidity profiles. Help
as a liaison between local clients and UBS global teams.
" Coordinate and write-up escalation memos for senior management.
" Be the risk SME for Brazil within UBS, provide inputs when necessary to other
UBS teams (credit, finance, operations, audit, etc.) and senior stakeholders.
Ability to provide perspective and comparison between Brazilian market and other
major markets (US/Europe).
" Partner with Sales to pitch and assess risk/return profile of new clients,
especially Brazilian funds in Cayman. Join calls with Sales as well as Credit and
produce notes and follow-ups.

Your team
You will be working in the UBS BB broker-dealer, which is the biggest
broker-dealer in the institutional space in Brazil. The risk team in Brazil is
integrated into the GFS Risk Americas, who works as first line of defense within
UBS Global Market franchise.
Your expertise
" 7+ year of relevant experience in risk management preferred.
" Knowledge about the B3 risk management framework for both pre-trade (LINE) and
post-trade (CORE methodology/RTC/open positions limits). The candidate will have
60 days after hire to acquire the PQO relevant certifications.
" In-depth knowledge of counterparty risk management, stress methodologies, VaR.
Hands-on approach to estimates.
" Excellent written and oral communications, this will be required as the
candidate will produce escalations memos and join calls with clients and senior
stakeholders.
" Ability to be conversant with other risk disciplines:
market, credit, liquidity, operations.
" Knowledge of the Brazilian fund industry and offshore funds managed by Brazilian
managers.
" Knowledge of offshore products and prime brokerage. FX prime brokerage, equities
prime brokerage, cleared derivatives execution and clearing.
" Fluency in English is a must for this position.
