The Team:
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the worlds leading price reporting
organization as it strengthens and grows its presence across biofuel and feedstock
markets. Customers in over 150 countries look to our expertise in pricing,
analytics and news to deliver greater transparency and efficiency to markets. The
Americas biofuels and feedstock pricing team is responsible for key pricing
benchmarks across the region.
The Impact:
We are seeking a price specialist with biofuels market experience, able to drive
our biofuels and feedstocks pricing coverage in Brazil. This is an exciting
opportunity to steer S&P Global Commodity Insights Biofuels and feedstocks
assessments from inception to adoption as price benchmarks
Whats in it for you:

face-to-face meetings, presenting at conferences, webinars, podcasts or other
interviews and to further develop S&P Global as a significant presence in the
biofuels space
The successful candidate would contribute to a face paced and dynamic team based
in Sao Paulo that works across the biofuels and feedstocks markets as working with
well as with the global biofuels and feedstocks teams in the USA, Europe and Asia
Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment
opportunities in the biofuels markets
Responsibilities:
Driving market coverage on biofuels in Brazil and Argentina, reporting on daily
physical trading activity as well as bids, offers and other relevant information
Building and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to
contribute to our assessment process and develop a close business relationship
with market participants
Identifying opportunities to refine methodology and help launch new price
assessments
Writing a weekly commentary and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends
driving prices
Creating news stories and multi-media coverage
Representing Platts at industry events as well as in face-to-face meetings with
market participants to drive market adoption
Work closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial,
analytics and news.
What Were Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
Two to five years experience of biofuels market or comparable agriculture market,
accompanying awareness of exchange traded derivatives a benefit
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel
Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style,
and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups
and personalities internally and externally.
Existing network of contacts in the industry is a benefit
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Excellent English writing skills
Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
Existing network of contacts in the industry preferred
Additional Spanish language skills would be an advantage.
Degree in Agronomics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business or similar
