Latam Energy Strategy Procurement Analyst - Hybrid (SP/RJ)
Job Summary
This position reports to the Category Senior Manager Utilities for the AMER
region and is responsible for supporting the delivery of Equinix's Global Energy
strategy in LATAM. The role will be part of the team leading the Equinix Global
Energy Procurement program, working with other regional and global project teams
and stakeholders to provide strategic support and leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
Responsible for day-to-day management of energy contracts across various markets
in LATAM (currently includes Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico).
Engage with energy consultants to monitor market trends and understand technical
details around available electricity products.
Provide analysis and research support for commodity-, non-commodity, and regulated
price elements in support of budget forecasting and identify opportunities for
cost optimization.
Support development of the annual LATAM energy budget including supporting the
FP&A team with quarterly updates, monthly accruals, and reporting on regional
performance against budgets.
Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including the
Utilities & Energy team, Global Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Legal,
Accounting, and Sales.
What You Should Have
Strong experience in the energy sector (Buyer, Supplier, Utility, Energy
Consultant).
Bachelors or masters degree in science, economics, finance, business, or similar
discipline.
Fluent in Portuguese, and English. Spanish would be a plus.
Experience with financial modeling & analysis.
Strong quantitative and analytical capability, including data analysis and the
ability to synthesize complex data and present it in a simplified format.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and work collaboratively with
local, regional, and global teams across the company.
Professional, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, complex work
environment.
Flexibility for hybrid (office, remote) work locations.
10-20% travel, primarily throughout LATAM.
Demonstrated ability to work and learn independently, with managers guidance and
direction.
Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, successfully
interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
