The Learning Advisor Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of
developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by
considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical
authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness.
There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same
level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills
are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular
colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on
the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the
technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which
eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the
sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Understands relevant business and HR priorities and opportunities for capability
building, performance improvement, cultural development, and overall impact within
their region/product/function
In partnership with other Learning Advisors, provides management and consulting to
Human Resource and business partners and proactively identifies and prioritizes
the L&D opportunities to support successful business outcomes.
Helps develop and execute learning and development strategy for their
region/product/function
Conducts the analysis of current versus future state gaps, identifies root causes,
determines the appropriate solution and how success should be measured
Helps to market, evaluate and communicate the impact of initiatives with HR /
Business partners
Monitors and communicates progress with other learning colleagues as well as HR /
Business partners and navigates any variation in expectations with them
Collaborates with colleagues across HR to provide integrated experience for
region/product/function partners
In partnership with other learning advisors, Implements the strategy for
consistently measuring the effectiveness of training
Stays abreast to latest external market trends and anticipates their impact on
future capability requirements for their region/product/function
Is responsible for learning budget for their specific focus area
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating
particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its
clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and
regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding
personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and
reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years experience in Learning and Development
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Proven influencing and relationship management skills
Proactive leadership and motivational skills
Education:
Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
Learning Advisor - International West Product/Geography Job Description
The Learning Advisor has both a geographic responsibility within the International
West cluster, as well as responsibility for a particular product across
International West. The LA will work closely with the Product Learning team, the
Country HR Officers (CHROs) and Citi Country Officer (CCOs) to understand the
objectives and needs and implement global learning solutions. The LA will also
work with counterparts in International East to ensure a consistent approach and
experience for the business and geographies.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing Learning and Development for Citi employees across a
product/function within the International West cluster
Understands relevant business and HR priorities/needs and identifies key
opportunities for capability building, performance improvement, cultural
development, to maximize overall impact across their region/product/function
Establish trusted relationships with Human Resource and business partners to
consult and provide learning advisory support
Proactively identifies and prioritizes the L&D opportunities to support successful
business outcomes.
Executes learning and development strategy for their region/product/function and
regularly validates the strategy with their region/product/function leaders.
Leverages existing material / solutions to deliver against the regulatory needs.
Design new material / solutions when nothing relevant exists, in partnership with
relevant discipline (LEAPS, Culture etc)
Work with Subject Matter Experts and internal and external designers to design,
develop, execute, and measure learning solutions
Undertake learning needs analysis / gap analysis, including data gathering,
research, and analysis to assess the adequacy of existing learning and identify
new learning needs
Identify and curate learning resources from both internal and external sources
Measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives to drive continuous
improvement and impact
Markets, evaluates and communicates the impact of initiatives with HR / Business
partners
Regularly monitors and communicates progress with HR / Business partners and
navigates any variation in expectations with them
Responsible for aligning the Learning agenda with Cluster Heads / CCOs, their LTs
and HRAs / other HR disciplines.
In depth understanding on the global learning agenda driven by products /
functions and the ability to position the local voice / nuance at global
management tables.
An In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the
objectives of the function, and ensuring implementation of global solutions and
initiatives locally, with high acceptance levels and quality.
Adopts a data based approach in the design and delivery of Learning and Culture
solutions and initiatives
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating
particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup by
driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6-8 years experience in a learning and development role, with at least
2 years in a financial services environment.
Experience working across regions, cultures, and geographies within a
multinational organization preferred
Knowledge of Brazil regulatory requirements related to training and professional
development is a plus
Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and
influence stakeholders at all levels.
Fluent in English and Portuguese. Spanish a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with learning management systems.
