About the Role: The intern will work directly with the legal counsel in charge of Legal Brazil Department for the Reinsurance operations and will have access to various areas of law, in particular insurance regulations, civil and corporate law. The main activities consist on: Performing high quality legal research; Preparation of basic legal documents under guidance of legal counsel; Provide inputs for legal reports and legal opinions; Manage case files; Perform administrative duties such as: managing physical and online filing systems, payment of invoices, preparation of presentations and trainings, to attend internal meetings and to compile legal information and referral sources. About the Team: The Reinsurance Brazil Legal team currently consists in one dedicated lawyer who oversees three legal entities in Brazil, and is part of the Reinsurance LatAm Legal team. The Reinsurance LatAm Legal team consists of four dedicated lawyers based in New York, Colombia, Brazil and Mexico supporting Reinsurance's L&H and P&C businesses and legal entities operating in the region. There are also trainees in Mexico. The team provides broad-based business enabling, regulatory, corporate governance, product and transactional legal advice across the region. The team works in a demanding, dynamic and rewarding legal environment. About You: We are looking for a passionate law student, preferably between 2nd and 3rd year - Graduation expected in 2026 or after; Great writing and communication skill; Advanced English knowledge, specially to write and read; Proficient in computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel is a plus); Interest in new technologies is a must; Intern should be interested in International Law and legal research for different jurisdictions beyond Brazil; Corporate law experience is a plus.
