About this opportunity
The Manager, Software Development will be responsible for leading a team of
talented software developers and analysts, maintaining the tasks backlog and
roadmap projects execution. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep technical
foundation on software development best practice. The position requires the
ability to work across multiple business units and a cross functional set of end
users. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, ability to make
trade-offs between scope/timelines/cost, along with excellent communication skills
and a self-driven motivation to achieve a high level of quality.
In this role, you will...
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Protheus modules and
functionalities, solid understanding of ERP systems concepts
Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and
desired end-states, make decisions on customize vs leverage out-of-the box
functionality, build vs buy
Provide leadership, direction and otherwise "own" the technical aspects of the
Protheus ERP platform.
Provide on-going support of the EPR platform as well as continually reevaluate
current processes and techniques for increased efficiency and maintainability.
Support and further develop improvement to the eCommerce platform.
Being in charge of the Web development projects.
Complete tracking, status, and progress reports for assigned projects to ensure
high quality and on time delivery.
Control quality of assigned project deliverables with peer reviews, guidelines and
best practices.
Responsible for facilitating timely introduction of new features / fixes to
support our production infrastructure.
Drive internal customer satisfaction by actively monitoring the end-user
experience and creating action plans to address significant issues.
Managing the day-to-day operation and productivity of development team
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Work with global and local teams and deliver the projects as per the defined
schedules
Define the long term roadmap and evangelize the functionality with the business
users
Additional responsibilities:

Able to manage and work cross-functionally
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to build relationships with both internal and external clients
Experienced in working with external vendors, outside consultants, and other third
parties.
Have a can do attitude, great listening skills and effective delivery of
technology solutions
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
6+ years of experience as a Protheus development lead or hands-on engineering
management in a mid to large sized organization
6+ years of experience with databases systems and Microsoft SQL Server in
particular
Experience in modern Web development technologies
Experience in systems integrations REST and SOAP APIs
Minimum 6 years experience on Protheus ERP design and implementation
Proven experience with defining and managing customer expectations using
independent judgment and subject matter expertise
Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Microsoft Power Automate,
Automation Anywhere or similar
Experience in Microsoft Power BI or similar systems Tableau/QlikView
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology equivalent experience
Good command of written and oral English and Portuguese
