Context/Scope:
Working on Innovation at Diageo is pretty much as good as a job gets. Innovation
is in the core of the business strategy and our purpose is to make consumers love
the outstanding propositions and innovative products we will build.
For the innovation manager role we are looking for entrepreneurs, creative
business managers that are capable to understand the end to end process of leading
a project, from the concept relevance, the business implications to the launch
stage and results.
This person should be a big problem solver but passionate about prototyping
execution, with high influencing skills to generate new trends with entrepreneur
eyes, outstanding drive and resilience.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
1. Lead the innovation process end-to-end from ideation to commercialization for
new consumer products
2. Conduct consumer research and market analysis to identify unmet needs and
opportunities. Generate creative new product ideas and concepts through internal
ideation sessions and customer insights
3. Build business cases to evaluate feasibility and financial viability of new
product ideas
4. Manage cross-functional product development teams including R&D, marketing,
operations and others
5. Oversee product launch plans including go-to-market strategy, marketing
campaigns, and distribution. Track and report on performance metrics for
innovation projects against targets
Qualifications and Experience Required:
" Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Engineering or
related field
" 3-5 years of business management or innovation experience in consumer goods
industry
" Demonstrated success leading projects from concept to market
" Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity and passion for innovation
" Strong project management, collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
" Experience with consumer insights, market research and financial modeling
" Knowledge of stage-gate or agile product development processes
This role will be a key contributor in developing our pipeline of new profitable
products that unlocks incremental business strategy. We value consumer focus,
