development of new generation of leaner and smarter subsea equipment, by adding
functionalities using smart and leaner design solutions. Our team provides support
for customer operations to ensure continuity for production.
Partner with the best
The Design Engineer will be responsible for understanding customer documents and
specifications, and interface with different areas of the company to design Subsea
Equipment (Xmas Trees, Manifolds, Connection Systems, Structures, and Tools)
including, but not limited to, 3D modeling and detailed design.
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the creation and maintenance of a systems Master Equipment List and
Master Document Register
Creating, reviewing, and releasing 3D/2D designs as per customers requirements
and Baker Hughes and Oil Industry standards
Creating detailed fabrication drawings based on the 3D models & Baker Hughes
Standards
Assisting in the creation and maintenance of an equipments Bill of Materials
(BOM)
Producing system field layouts and distribution schematics
Assisting in the definition and verification of internal and external interfaces
Producing geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis
Assisting in the Design Verification Program and actions, taking responsibilities
to close equipment design and system layout
Contributing to team technical/commercial design reviews
Contributing to Intervention, Inspection, maintenance, and repair strategy
definitions
Maintaining awareness of the companys Technical Assurance program
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Technical or B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or
related area.
Have experience in designing Oil & Gas Equipment (Manifolds and Connection Systems
experience, preferably)
Know and commonly deal with the main industry standards for design of subsea
systems (ISO, API, ASME, NACE, DNV)
Have strong computer skills (MS Office Applications, AutoCAD, CREO)
Have the ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications and
manufacturing processes
Have good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Have the ability to work with cross-functional teams and independently
Have good analysis and problem-solving skills
Be fluent in (or have an advanced understanding of) English
Be available to travel up to 30% of your time
