Join us. About the team The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work
spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including
government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk
and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and
philanthropy.
The mission of the Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team is to develop
and advocate for solutions for pressing high technology issues and to promote a
political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and
innovation for our business. Responsibilities
Support the AMS Public Policy team's engagement in TikTok's Election and Civic
integrity workstreams, including overseeing Government, Politician, and Political
Party Accounts (GPPPAs) in Brazil and Spanish-Speaking Latin America
Supporting AMS election workstreams, including promoting regional consistency,
providing support to local teams
Supporting, as appropriate, strategies for external engagement with policymakers
and civil society on issues importance to Election and Civic integrity workstreams
in Brazil and Latin America
Processing GPPPA labelling, verification, and onboarding in Brazil and Latin
America
Coordinating with GPPPA managers and counterparts in each region to promote global
consistency regarding GPPPA matters
Developing and maintaining relations with key internal stakeholders including
Trust and Safety, communications, GBS, and legal
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Bachelors degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Affairs,
Public Affairs, related field, or equivalent practical experience
3 years of public policy or government experience.
Strong presentation, and analytical skills, including the ability to translate the
implications of public policy developments to global teams
Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and verbal and written communications
skills, including the ability to distill complex policy issues into easy to digest
explanations and compelling messages
Excel at balancing multiple and often competing priorities in a very fast-paced
environment
Self-motivated; can identify and complete work without being instructed.
A problem-solver experienced at remaining focused and calm when challenges come
your way.
Passion for and avid use of the TikTok product
Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese
Preferred qualifications
Previous experience in an Election and Civic Integrity role.
Previous experience working at a global company.
