But before you hit apply, ensure you read the following information: To apply for this role, you must possess: · The right to work in São Paulo, where the role is based. · An MBA in Finance or be registered at CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) as you will be overseeing the finance function of the region which includes budgeting, reporting and auditing across the Latin American region. · Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and Portuguese. Fluency in Spanish is a highly valuable bonus (but not required). · Previous exposure to operational business planning and strategy implementation functions. · A results-oriented approach with a strong ability to get stuff done and turn your hand to many things - multi-tasking while not losing sight of the bigger picture. · A Problem-solving mindset, curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement. · The ability to simplify the complex, able to effectively explain local law and procedures to New Zealand teams and vice-versa. This is a hybrid role which requires you to work from the São Paulo office 3 days a week. Office location: Avenida Paulista. What you will be doing: Te whakamahere The Regional Operations Manager role exists to ensure that NZTE has the best possible operational management in Latin America. You will work closely with the Regional Director and play a critical role in the Latin America (LATAM) Leadership Team. This is a hands-on role with huge variety in scope and influence! Our Latin America team supports New Zealand exporters across 4 offices in the region: São Paulo, Santiago, Mexico City and Bogotá. The successful candidate will have direct management of 3 people in the São Paulo office and dotted line leadership to another 2 operations team members from the region. You will also be a fundamental link between New Zealand operation teams (including Finance, Legal, IT, Human Resources, Property, Expat relocation, Health and Safety, etc) and the region, fostering a collaborative and consistent approach to operational management. With a strategic nous, the Regional Operations Manager is crucial in achieving our goals and maintaining and improving smooth operations across the region. You will provide leadership to ensure compliance, governance across operations and engagement with stakeholders (teams, NZ exporters and suppliers) in all markets. This role will also be responsible for: · Overseeing Finances for the region (budgeting, month end, auditing, reconciliation across currencies). · Internal and external stakeholder management and communications. · Leadership and management expatriate relocations  support of security checks on selected apartments, rent contract review, local insurance review, etc. · A champion of best practice, you will be a key member of the Leadership team, influencing robust decision making across leadership functions. · Leadership of facilities management (offices, expat rental properties, cars, etc). · Contracts review and compliance within the region. · Training and identification of continuous improvement efficiencies across LATAM region operations. · Implementation and rollout of international systems into the region, e.g. Health and Safety, IT, etc. · Keeping your finger on the pulse of our people and culture in the region, identifying risks and opportunities for regional improvements and raising at the leadership team level. · Engaging staff to further build a strong affinity with NZTE organisational Culture, you can find out more about our values here Why you will love working here: Nau mai ki Te Taurapa Tkhono This is an excellent opportunity to build your career in an international organisation.
