Overview of the Position:
As the Regulatory Coordinator you are the expert on food labelling. You will be
the legal gatekeeper when it comes to recipes, artwork, marketing outings,
images and packaging; Ensure the regulatory compliance of our finished products,
formulations, pack, labels and ingredients; Be the contact point for Blumenau
plant with local regulatory and surveillance agencies; Ensure the register process
compliance among exportation countries; Advice R&D, Quality and Marketing about
food legislation changes, appointing the impacts in Hemmer portfolio and relative
roadmap to adaptation;
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise in all regulated fields affecting products and
marketability (food law, nutrition requirements, labelling and packaging;
Roadmap for the implementation of new legislation related to food stamping,
labelling and packaging across Brazil and monitoring the regulatory bills ongoing;
Interactions and advocacy of KHC interests with Associations, Trade Associations
and Regulatory Entities;
Reviewing and Approver labels & mandatory statements;
Substantiating marketing & products stamps;
Manage local projects deliverables, including ingredients & Finished Product
regulatory compliance;
To review recipes and ingredient specifications, ensuring compositional
requirements are met, codes of practice adhered to and company policies complied
with;
Accountable for the guidance of the regulatory changes in food regulation
(products, SKU´s and packaging) and for the for the implementation with the main
stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Food Safety) for local production and also for
Import and export business;
Administrating of Products certifications and registrations including importation,
exportation and local commercialization/distribution;
To analyse normative/regulatory impact, risk assessment and scenarios, as well as
the monitoring of the main governmental discussions on the sector it represents,
defining the action strategy and the best way to communicate with regulatory
bodies;
Key Requirements:
A Degree in Food Engineer, Chemical Engineer or Nutrition Scientist.
Food Industry background.
Experience with regulatory and sanitary agencies.
Previous work with Food Legislations in Brazil.
English (intermediate-avanced).
An understanding of product development, food ingredients, manufacturing and
business processes is an advantage.
