Sales Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Field Sales Engineer with fluency in English, strong
negotiation skills, and technical knowledge in infrastructure, cabling, fiber,
colocation, and electrical wiring. In this role, you will be responsible for
selling Equinix solutions to new accounts and expanding existing accounts.
What you'll be doing
Technical Consulting and Sales Support
Identify customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements and
align them with Equinix solutions.
Utilize an in-depth understanding of Equinix products and services to deliver
compelling pitches on Equinix solutions.
Analyze situations and data related to moderate scope problems.
Provide full support for small to mid-size customer meetings and tours.
Solution Design and Deliverables
Provide technical solution design expertise to all assigned Sales account
executives.
Exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate
solutions.
Support RFI/P/Q preparation as requested by Sales Representatives.
Develop all deliverables for the customer with occasional oversight from Sales
Engineering Management and/or peers.
Customer Service
Communicate with customers (internal and external) in a professional, friendly,
and effective manner, both verbally and in writing.
Support pre-sales efforts for all company products and services.
Provide strong technical support in sales presentations, customer meetings, and
trade shows.
Business and Market Expertise
Demonstrate a basic understanding of Equinix data center, network, and cloud
products and services.
Possess basic industry knowledge and familiarity with the competitive landscape.
Collaboration / Communication
Assist sales teams in efforts to acquire new business and maintain existing
customer relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams (CSM, OM, IM, Ops, etc.) to ensure a smooth
project transition from pre-sales to post-sales.
Actively participate in cultivating a positive team culture.
Demonstrate basic presentation skills.
Team Leadership
Provide feedback on various business opportunities and issues.
What we'll expect from you
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT preferred.
Strong experience and deep Knowledge of cloud computing, network, and IT
infrastructure solutions.
Customer-facing experience in related industries is preferred.
Advanced English is mandatory
