THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to our CIA (Client Innovation
Area) Focus Area, Client Journey team in Brazil!
This role is to join the Client Journey Squad within CIA (our B2B focus area). Our
primary objective in CIA is to establish and maintain a platform that seamlessly
integrates our benefits and services into the lives of employees across companies
& organizations of different sizes worldwide. As a key member of the CIA Client
Journey squad, you will be focused on simplifying the management of employees'
eligibility, making the process as seamless and stress-free as possible for our
clients.
This agile team is composed of fellow developers, a product manager, and a UX
designer. Together, we collaborate on continually improving our clients'
experience using our product. You will be expected to develop the tools and the
platform that power these objectives while working closely with stakeholders and
the other developers. We also count on your unique view on how we evolve the
platform technically and business-wise. This role is an excellent opportunity to
take your expertise in front-end development to the next level.
YOUR IMPACT
Work within an agile full-stack talented engineering team;
Help to define the architecture of systems and integrations, bring innovation to
the table, and make sure design docs are up to date;
Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and
transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
Ensure successful deliveries, and promote the long-term technical health of our
journeys;
Write maintainable code and tests;
Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production
environment, as well as in writing useful and critical post-mortems;
Help and mentor other developers
Ensure high-quality code using best practices such as code review and pair
programming.

WHO YOU ARE
An engineer with a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
professional experience;
Experience in designing and developing modern web applications;
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Java/ Kotlin/ Golang/
Typescript). Golang and Kotlin will both be considered a plus;
Being open to new experiences, willing to learn and grow;
Willing to work within an agile environment meant to be continuously challenged
and improved upon;
Experienced in applying computer science fundamentals:
data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
Experienced in working with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and
DynamoDB, understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;
A believer in automation (be it tests, CI/CD, or something else)
Good communication skills both in English and Portuguese.
