Job Description: To be able to breakdown high level features of Vehicle Access
and Start into sub-components both at onboard and offboard level that will be
developed by different sub-teams. The sub-teams can include component engineers
within Stellantis that work with supplier part release process and also supplier
technical teams. Adapt PFDI (Physical and Functional Design Integration)
requirements to Component/Sub-System Level Requirements. Design Software
Architecture specific to component and sub-system at Vehicle Level Implementation.
Prepare Software Models for Vehicle Access and Start Feature related components
and sub-system behavior interface both at onboard and offboard level. Lead,
design, develop and validate software around component hardware provided by
suppliers with supplier support. Develop solutions for a software modular approach
with software vendors and module component vendors. Work with specific chip
vendors to develop custom specific application ASIC with Stellantis driven
software solutions. Lead and supervise at a technical level Tier 1 and Tier 2
supplier activities with design, development and validation of components and
their associated subsystems level interactions. Determine decoupled projects -
scope, define the architecture, select supplier and deliver results towards a
production vehicle target.
Key Specialization:
Digital Key Smartphone Feature implementation of Vehicle Access and Start
Components both at sub-system and vehicle level including onboard and offboard
components.
Understanding of software driven system module engineering skills focused on
vehicles access and start features both at components level and vehicle sub-system
level
Understanding at system level and expertise on how software interface should be
designed between modules on the vehicle
Understanding of complex cockpit system comprising Infotainment and cluster
domains.
Understanding of hardware focused on RF design and software breakdown around RF
data protocol into sub-systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Design software architecture driving a cost optimized hardware solution specific
to vehicle access and start components at sub-system and vehicle level
Implementation.
Prepare and Optimize RF data link software-based Models for Digital Key Vehicle
Access and Start Feature and other interior wireless cockpit products that include
interior sensing and biometrics.
Support an extended team in design, development and validation of component
hardware and software provided by suppliers with both internal software developers
and supplier support teams.
Develop software-based solutions for a hardware modular approach with hardware and
software vendors and if necessary traditional Tier 1 module component vendors.
Work with specific chip vendors to develop custom specific RF application ASICs
with Stellantis driven software-based solutions.
Support extended teams within Stellantis at a technical level related to Tier 1
and Tier 2 supplier activities related to design, development and validation of
components and their associated subsystems level interactions.
Define and prepare need based technical reasoning for new decoupled projects as
needed - scope, define the architecture.
Actively support supplier selection process/efforts and deliver results towards
production vehicle target launch milestones.
Digital Key Vehicle Access and Start Control feature includes NFC keycard, keyfob
and smartphone as customer user devices.
Liaison with Stellantis and supplier validation teams as a functional expert with
their automated multi-layered test systems , starting from virtualized
environment, test rack, vehicle rig, to prototype vehicle.
Support sub-system validation teams as a functional expert to help define the
needed automation framework.
Work with suppliers and internal cross functional team to support and monitor the
feature is validated at sub-system and vehicle level.
Deep understanding of validation requirements both at component level, sub-system
level and within a vehicle environment.
Understanding of Test automation framework and the ability to specify the test
scope to all systems.
