What you will do- You will support the Commercial divisions within the Ortho & Spine Group as the Indirect Procurement partner, specifically focused on supporting the Stryker Latin American (LatAm) region. You will be responsible for identifying, leading and implementing cost improvement activities, sourcing and supplier selection, negotiations, and contract creation and maintenance. You will partner with product divisions to review spending and identify significant cost savings opportunities. You will negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and support the creation of requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software or components. You will acquire and maintain understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends and supplier technology road maps. You will review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds. You will be regarded within the organization as a technical 'expert' in their particular field. You will lead/support sourcing activities for assigned projects/commodities in support of Commercial business goals and Corporate initiatives including activities such as: Execute, augment, and expand the 2024 strategic sourcing strategy established for the region Data collection and spend analysis/Market Research. The RFx process (also known as go-to-market) Negotiations/Contracting. Implementation and continuous improvement. Partnering with Corporate and Divisional functional area leads to understand current unmet needs Identifying key trends, and areas of opportunity to drive process efficiency across Stryker with through vendor engagement Conducting annual business reviews with key marketing vendors within the organization Develop and drive spend leverage strategies, including policies, and driving best practice sharing and development Drive supplier management/development activities to ensure continuous cost/service improvement Lead/support ad-hoc projects as required What you need- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or other relevant area of study, required Multilingual skills  candidate must be fluent in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Portuguese required Relevant work experience developing, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts, including supply and service agreements, required Experience in providing collaborative support, across multiple layers of management, required Training in financial analysis, strategic analysis, negotiation skills and project management, required Masters degree and/or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM, CPSM, or equivalent) preferred Strong understanding of procurement/strategic commodity management preferred Subject matter expert level experience in multiple direct or indirect procurement categories preferred About Stryker Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
