THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Senior Product Data Scientist to support multiple teams in our
CODE Focus Area, in Brazil!
CODE is an acronym for Consumer Digital Experience, which means we're in charge of
the experience and services that will guide people's wellbeing journey. Our
primary goal in CODE is to make well-being universal. From knowing about Gympass
and getting access to exclusive benefits to using our vast partner's network, it
is in the end-user experience. CODE teams are responsible for developing and
maintaining Gympass's App, frontend, backend services, and Design System and work
closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent experience for the
users of our platform.
As a Senior Product Data Scientist in CODE focus area, you will meaningfully
contribute to the decisions that go into releasing new product features to all
Gympass users having a direct impact on the wellbeing of millions of people. Your
role will have great visibility by collaborating with stakeholders of varying
technical expertise to improve CODE teams experimentation efficiency. You will
help with designing and conducting data-driven and statistically rigorous
experiments, propose performance metrics aligned with business KPIs, and build
statistical models, data pipelines, and systems to better measure the true impact
of new products. Moreover, you will serve as an educator, sharing your insights
with numerous teams to foster a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
YOUR IMPACT
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve the CODE
teams decision-making efficiency and quality by advising on best experimentation
practices. Be a thought leader and go-to expert for experimentation.
Help teams by designing and conducting data-driven and statistically rigorous
experiments (e.g. A/B tests) to support the release of new product features to be
used by millions of Gympass users.
Build statistical models, pipelines, and systems to better measure the true short
and long-term effects of new products.
Conduct deep-dive analysis to explore the patterns in user conversion data,
analyze causal connections between users online behaviors and their real-world
conversions, generate new hypotheses, and develop metrics to measure the
effectiveness of new product features.
Work with product and engineering teams to align experiments with business
objectives.
Relay findings and action points to stakeholders of varying technical expertise.
Keep the best practices within Gympass aligned with advancements in experimental
methods and broader data science trends.
Present technical findings internally to educate other Gympassers and externally
to inspire and recruit talent.

WHO YOU ARE
Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science,
Informatics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research,
etc;
Experience designing and analyzing online experiments (e.g. A/B tests) as a Data
Scientist within a product development team, preferably working with large
datasets in a fast-growing consumer technology company;
Proficiency in SQL;
Experience in applied statistical modeling in at least one statistical software
package (e.g. Python, R, etc.);
Good understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and statistics;
Strong business and product sense:
Competent in shaping vague questions into well-defined and testable hypotheses and
success metrics that drive business decisions;
Excellent communication skills:
able to communicate findings with leadership and product teams;
Self-motivated with a proven track record of leading projects to completion
